Wake Forest University CrossPad Pilot Program - Software configuration
- You may get a COM port conflict if you are using WordPad/PalmPilot/WindowsCE/other serial/IrDA devices' desktop sync utilities
- Wake Forest ThinkPad serial configuration issue (see below)
Depends on your ThinkPad configuration, your may see error message like this

you may need to do one or both of the followings:
- Re-enable your serial port
- Right click on my computer, choose property

- choose the device tab, note down whether your communication port is COM1 or COM2
- If there is a red cross on your serial port, you have to re-enable it

- With the COM2 or COM1 line selected, click the property button, your should see the following screen, uncheck the Disable box, click OK, your computer will restart

- change connection port in ink transfer program may be necessary
- ink transfer software is default to COM1, your ThinkPad maybe set to COM2
